Task Breakdown Chart – FREE PRINTABLE!
Do you struggle to break down large tasks into manageable steps?
Perhaps your schedule is causing you a lot of stress, and you feel overwhelmed every day.
In my post “How to Break Down a Huge Task into Manageable Steps“, I gave you five steps to take your life from panic to peace.
This is a tried-and-true method that I use every day in my own life, and now my son is using it to overcome his overwhelming homework schedule in trade school.
Today, I’m taking that method and offering it as a free printable for you to download and use each day.

Task Breakdown Chart – FREE PRINTABLE!
There are lines where you will write down all of your tasks for the day.
These do not have to be in order of importance or deadline. Don’t overthink this part at all. Just brain-dump all of your tasks for the day in whatever order you remember them.
Then, you will use letters A, B, and C to assign importance.
- A = Absolutely must be done today
- B = Important, but can be done tomorrow
- C = Less important, can be done sometime this week
Then, you will choose the shortest “A” task on your list and get it done. Grab on to motivation as fast as you can by marking off the shortest task on your list.
Be sure to set frequent breaks for yourself. On the chart, you will decide how many minutes you will work before taking a short break.
During your break, get up, move around, go for a walk, and clear your head before you start again.
You will also choose to reject negativity and be grateful and thankful. There is space for you to write something you are grateful for today.
Finally, you will choose a reward for when you are done.
