Children’s Ministry Update – October 2024
This year, for children’s ministries, we are learning basic Christian doctrines.
So far, we’ve learned about the Bible – why we can trust that it is God’s infallible Word, why we should read it daily, and good Bible reading methods to keep us consistent.
This month we learned about prayer. What does it mean to pray and different methods of praying.
The kids memorized The Lord’s Prayer and they created a prayer journal, in which they are able to either write their prayers or keep a list of the prayer needs they are praying for regularly.
We taught them how the Lord’s Prayer is a model for how we should pray each day, and we taught them the prayer wheel, that takes them through a list of 10 things to include in their daily prayer time to help them pray longer and more effectively.
It is so wonderful to see these kids grow as true disciples of Jesus and become grounded in their faith!
